The recirculation fitting on K24s is typically part of the intake manifold which isn’t on K20 intake manifolds. We have designed the adapter to work with all K24 heads including the K24Z-Series (R40) heads. This can also be used to install K20 manifolds or cut RBC manifolds on 9th gen Civic si as the water bypass is slightly different and you will not need an intake manifold adapter when using the adapter. The adapter lowers intake air temps as coolant is no longer connected the intake manifold. Hondata has shown that intake air density will drop 1% for every 5°F increase in intake temperature. This is wasted power that can easily be gained back by using the adapter.   The adapter also features a 1\/8 NPT port for a coolant temp sensor commonly used in swap cars.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThe Intake Manifold Adapter can be installed either using our spring loaded tab or by tapping the head. We use Honda Bond or similar gasket maker as it provides a strong seal and when using the spring loaded tab when the adapter isn’t under pressure there will be no chance of leak. The spring loaded tab holds the adapter down with constant spring pressure to ensure a tight fit and seal. The other option is using the provided blind hole you can easily tap the head for the second hole. You then want to install the manifold and adapter on the head. This will ensure you are properly positioning the hole. Once you have marked where you want to drill remove the manifold and adapter. Place tape or plug the holes on the head for intake and coolant to prevent anything from getting inside.  You will use a 5mm or 13\/64 drill bit to drill the head to a depth of  at least 11mm (the depth of the bolt) but shouldn’t need more than 14mm. You can apply tape on the drill bit to ensure not to drill too deep. Once you drill the hole you will run your tap. Use a M6x1.0 tap and lube and do it slowly. Be careful not to tap too deep. You can start the thread with a standard tap but you should finish it using a bottoming tap. This will allow the bolt to use most of the tapped hole. Slowly start to tap the head and check fitment of your adapter often. The CNC machined billet housing is a direct replacement for the oem unit and mounts in the same factory position, with the rad outlet following the original and slightly upward outlet angle. The number one feature of this design is the threaded water outlet port on the body, which allows use of the standard 1.25\" rad hose fitting or 12AN \/ 16AN fittings if desired. This unique threaded port design eliminates the need to weld bungs to the old and dirty factory cast aluminum pieces. The rad hose fitting thread size is 16OR (1-5\/16-12 SAE) and is properly sealed in an o-ring port to ensure leak-free operation. The housing also has two additional ports on it, one for the fan switch and one 1\/8 NPT accessory port for gauges etc. Note that we do include a plug for the 1\/8 NPT port, just in case the port is not used. We even machined and threaded the M6 hole for the important ground ring found on the engine harness. Installation is very simple, the housing is located right beside the intake manifold and held in place with only two bolts. You'll notice that we have two different top hole locations, these allow the housing to fit all 1988-2001 Honda B-Series engines and all 1988-2000 D-Series engines. We already offer several K-Series shifter upgrades so it was definitely time for us to develop a clean and functional shift knob. The process begins with a solid billet bar of 6061 aluminum, and each knob is machined to final size on a CNC lathe. After the lathe, the blank knobs are sent out for the anodizing process. The black is hard anodized and the colors are regular anodized. During the final step, each knob is chucked up on a 4-Axis CNC mill to precision cut in the unique grid pattern that was designed to improve shifter grip. This final step is so critical that we actually have a 5% scrap rate. On cable shifter setup we found that a weighted knob can cause shifting problems for some drivers because the neutral return spring has to work harder to pull the shifter back to the center. So instead of going to the heavy side we found a good weight (5.5 oz) that is just enough to allow confident and accurate shifting while still keeping enough weight to help the front to back shifts. Shift knobs are finished in a variety of colors with our K-Tuned logo on two sides. On top we engraved our signature K logo. A custom made jam nut is included to keep the knob locked in place.
