The Big Deal about the POCO Shift Knob

In recent years, countersunk knobs have become a popular way to achieve shorter shift throws and reduced knob height without modifying the shifter itself. A core problem with most countersunk knobs is that they don't fit well to the shift boot, leaving the shift boot to sag and the shift lever exposed. ACUiTY's POCO knob is the answer with its low height and built-in shift boot collar, the combination of which permits a very low shift knob height combined with a clean fitting shift boot.

What to Expect

The POCO sits low, much lower than most stock and aftermarket knobs. Most knobs sit around 25mm (1 inch) or higher above the top of the actual shift lever. The POCO sits only 3-4mm taller than the top of the shift lever when mounted. The POCO's low profile means shifts will feel shorter and firmer with throws typically 5%-10% shorter than compared to non-countersunk knobs. The POCO is one of the most well-integrated countersunk knobs available with its built-in shift boot collar that easily clips into the knob for that perfect finished appearance.

How it Works

The POCO's boot collar is affixed to the shift boot using a low-profile cable tie (3 are supplied with each kit); the knob threads down on the shift lever until it stops. Once both parts are installed, the shift boot collar clips into the shift knob, and installation is complete. 

Materials and Finish

Each POCO features a heavy, stainless steel inner core and a 6061 aluminum outer shell and shift boot collar in a tasteful, satin anodized finish. An internal elastomer ring provides the collar retention feature, similar to our very popular 1924 shift boot collars. All lettering is laser-etched for durability.

    We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.     Processing takes about 3 to 5 business days before your order ships.     If by any chance, your package that has been delivered by the carrier is lost/stolen, YOU (THE BUYER) are responsible for working with the carrier and us, Tri-State Motorsports to recover your package. You must contact us and the shipping company within 48 hours of delivery for lost/damage claims. You are covered by the basic insurance amount APPROVED by the shipping center. We DO NOT refund or reship product for claims that are denied by the shipping company.

    How Does Route Work?

    If your Route-protected order ends up lost, damaged, or stolen, Route's expert support team helps ensure that your order gets replaced or refunded as preferred. Claims will be reviewed for approval within 1-2 business days form filing.

    How Does Route Process Refunds or Reorders?

    Refunds: When refunding an item, Route covers the subtotal, shipping, and taxes.

    In both cases, the Route Premium cost will not be refunded.

    Reorders: Route will reorder the items, depending on in-stock availability. Unavailable items will be refunded. Route will cover the cost of any reorders including shipping, taxes, and Route Shipping Protection.

    When Should I File a Claim?

    Stolen (or any package that has been marked as delivered but your customer cannot locate)

    • Your customers have up to 30 days from when the package was marked as delivered to file a claim. Claims will not be approved before 5 days after the package has been marked as delivered giving the carrier time to "actually" drop off the package or for neighbors to return it in the case that it was delivered to the wrong address.

    Stuck in Transit (Lost)

    • Your customers have up to 30 days to file a claim.
    • Domestic packages are not considered lost until after the 7th day without a tracking update.
    • International packages are not considered lost until after the 20th day without a tracking update.

    Damaged

    • Your customers have up to 30 days to file a claim after the package has been marked as delivered.
    • For damage claims, we do require photo evidence of damage so we can verify that the product was actually damaged.

    What if My Order Never Arrives, Is Stolen, or Arrives Damaged?

    If your order has not arrived, please file a claim with Route here. For damaged orders, please take photos of the item and the packaging it arrived in to include in your claim when filing.

    How Do I File a Claim for my Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Order?

    If you insured your order with Route at checkout, you will receive a confirmation email from Route with a link to file a shipping issue.

    You can also file a shipping issue on Route's app or via the web here. To file a claim, you will need your store order number OR Route ID number and the email address that was attached to the order.

    When will my product ship out?

    Processing takes about 3 to 5 days before your order ships. Some orders may take longer than usual to process and ship. If you order an item that's on backorder, we will reach out with an estimated arrival time. Refunds are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Cancellations are subject to 10% cancellation/processing fee under no exceptions.

    What's the Warranty on our products?

    Unless the product is manufactured by Tri-State Motorsports or TSM Race, ALL Warranties go through the Manufacturer directly. Please visit their official website and get in contact with them in regards to your warranty. We will supply you with any invoice or tracking information the manufacturer asks you for. We also offer Route Protection shipping insurance.

    Do you offer any promotions?
